Sterilization

What is Sterilization?

Sterilization can be defined as a long-term birth control method that is very effective at preventing conception. However, if you change your mind, it is difficult to undo, and it does not protect you from STDs. Sterilization is possible for both men and women.  Harsh Hospital & Maternity Home has the Best Sterilization Facility in Surat

Sterilization Methods

The method of sterilization used in men and women differ from each other. Tubal ligation is performed on women in which the fallopian tubes are cut and tied or clipped. Tubal ligation prevents the sperm from achieving the egg. A vasectomy (cutting and sealing or blocking the vas deferens) is performed on men.

How to know if I am ready for Sterilization?

Tubal ligation results in infertility for the rest of one’s life. Couples who are unsure about whether they wish to have children in the future should pick a less permanent type of contraception, for example, Oral Contraceptive pills, an intrauterine device (IUD) like Copper-T, or Mirena, or a barrier method like condoms.

Your partner might also think about getting a vasectomy.

Recovery in women after Sterilization

The majority of women can return home the same day, a few hours after the procedure, and resume normal activities in one to two days.
